IBBA Kenpo Karate is Great for Children!

Our Lil’ Dragons and Tigers classes are specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of our youngest students. In addition to building a solid foundation for martial arts training, these classes are also designed to teach important life skills such as patience, taking turns, self-control, how to make friends, coordination, mental focus, and confidence.

Our classes are safe, fun, and always exciting.

The skills learned in these classes will jump start your child to be better prepared for succeeding in school and in other sports. The kind, encouraging IBBA Karate instructors teach in a patient and structured manner to help your child have a wonderful experience. Over the years, we have developed a variety of methods to capture children's imaginations while teaching them important life skills that will set them on a path to succeed in life.

Our IBBA Karate Program for
kids teaches self-discipline.

Our amazing and patient group of instructors loves to work with children. They understand the various challenges kids this age face in trying to focus and their need to become more self-disciplined. Through our IBBA Karate for Kids program, we establish clear rules of proper behavior in class and we encourage the same good behavior at home and in school. At IBBA we have found that delicate balance of fun and clear structure that helps young students to succeed while loving to come to class. Our ultimate aim is to help our students learn not only excellent martial arts skills, but also to set and achieve goals, be well-behaved, and work hard in everything they do.

There are no words to express my gratitude to Robert Austin’s International Black Belt Academy. My son, Mike, is autistic, and has very limited verbal abilities. After watching his cousin take class, he approached Sensei Denning and asked to take classes.

Since starting his journey 8 months ago, Mike has blossomed. There is really no other word for it. His self confidence has sky-rocketed, he is much more willing to try new things, his attention span has improved, his coordination and balance have improved... I could go on and on, there's something new every week. For a boy that couldn't pedal a bicycle until he was 9, this is TREMENDOUS! This is something just for him, for the first time in his life, all his. He amazes me with his eagerness, and with how well he is progressing.

Mike has been able to work with all the instructors at some point, but primarily works with Sensei Denning, Mr. Smith, Paula Grzenia, and of course Kyoshi Austin during testing. It is truly a gift to find so many wonderful, caring people under one roof. This is a family. Our family.

For anyone thinking about this school for their child or themselves, do it! You won't be sorry.
